LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Remember that every DIY undertaken is solely you own responsibility and I am not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages in any way for things going wrong. It is a must that you know the correct procedure of taking apart the different parts and pieces since the consequences can be severe – to your valet!
The stock AMG throttle body is a point of restriction on M113 motors especially in the W211 E55 AMG where the car is deliberately given a smaller 74 mm. throttle body than its counterparts such as the SL55, CL55, and S55 which have a 80 mm. throttle body.
Considering these motors are positive displacement supercharged so they pull air through the throttle one can see how this is a significant point of restriction. For W211 E55's in particular the throttle body upgrade is a good place to pick up power. Expect gains of 20-50 horsepower depending on the setup, supporting mods, etc.
This is not about upgrading but this is a repair and maintains/troubleshooting DVD – ORIGINAL Mercedes Benz and it’s worth all the money!
With this you will never do anything wrong and it will save you thousands of the god green stuff ……. if your contemplating any DIY’s, then this is a must!
